Description

Company Overview

The organisation operates in a dynamic business environment where effective project delivery, cross-functional coordination, and structured planning are essential to achieving strategic objectives. Its teams manage initiatives that involve business process improvement, technology implementation, operational development, and collaboration across multiple departments.

The organisation values accountability, transparency, efficient resource utilisation, and measurable results. Project delivery is supported by clear governance practices, consistent stakeholder communication, and a commitment to identifying risks early and resolving issues before they affect critical milestones. Role Summary

The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of complex projects from initial definition through final delivery and evaluation. The role requires the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project schedules and budgets, establish delivery priorities, and ensure that project outcomes align with agreed business objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with department leaders, technical specialists, operational teams, and other stakeholders to translate strategic requirements into structured project plans. They will establish clear deliverables, define milestones, manage dependencies, monitor performance, and maintain visibility into project progress throughout the delivery lifecycle.

This position also involves identifying delivery risks, resolving escalated issues, managing scope changes, and ensuring that project decisions are documented and communicated effectively. The Senior Project Manager must be comfortable balancing competing priorities, supporting informed decision-making, and adapting delivery plans when business requirements or operational conditions change.

  • Facilitate project meetings, planning workshops, progress reviews, and stakeholder discussions to maintain alignment.
  • Communicate project status, emerging challenges, resource constraints, and delivery forecasts to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage changes to project scope, timelines, requirements, or deliverables through documented assessment and approval processes.
  • Coordinate resource allocation and workload planning to support realistic delivery commitments and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Work with finance or budget owners to monitor project expenditure, assess cost variations, and maintain financial visibility.
  • Identify dependencies between projects and coordinate with relevant teams to manage shared resources and competing priorities.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet agreed quality standards and satisfy documented acceptance criteria.
  • Support decision-making by presenting delivery options, assessing trade-offs, and recommending practical corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project management methods, reporting efficiency, team coordination, and delivery predictability.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by providing accurate updates and addressing concerns before they develop into major delivery obstacles.
  • Coordinate project handovers, operational readiness activities, and the transfer of documentation to relevant business owners.
  • Conduct project reviews after completion to evaluate outcomes, document lessons learned, and identify opportunities for future improvement.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and constructive problem-solving across project teams.
