Role Overview

The Treasury Analyst will analyse expected cash flows, evaluate treasury-related financial exposures, and support the development of forecasts and risk reports. The role involves working with financial data, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights that help management make informed decisions about liquidity, funding, and currency exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasts using operational and financial data.
  • Compare actual cash flows with forecasts and investigate material variances.
  • Analyse expected receipts, operating expenditure, debt repayments, investment movements, and other funding requirements.
  • Monitor foreign exchange exposure across currencies and assess the potential impact of exchange rate movements.
  • Support analysis of interest rate exposure, borrowing costs, and available funding options.
  • Prepare scenario analyses and sensitivity models to assess the impact of changes in business performance, payment timing, and market conditions.
  • Support the preparation of treasury risk reports, liquidity indicators, and management dashboards.
  • Evaluate working capital trends and identify factors affecting cash conversion and liquidity.
  • Assist with the analysis of bank deposits, financing arrangements, and short-term investment options within approved policies.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting models, assumptions, source data, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, commercial, and operational teams to improve the quality of forecast inputs.
  • Provide analytical support for budgeting, financial planning, and treasury strategy discussions.
  • Identify improvements in financial modelling, data quality, and treasury reporting automation.
  • Escalate significant liquidity or market exposure concerns in accordance with internal procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in treasury analysis, financial planning and analysis, financial risk, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, working capital, and treasury risk concepts.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building or maintaining financial models.
  • Ability to analyse large datasets, interpret financial trends, and explain variances clearly.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools, ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, or treasury management systems.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange markets, interest rate movements, and basic financial risk measurement.
  • Familiarity with scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and forecast accuracy measurement.
  • Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Python, or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Progress toward CFA, ACCA, CIMA, or an ACT treasury qualification is beneficial.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote working arrangements, subject to agreed employment eligibility.
  • Competitive salary reflecting analytical expertise and relevant experience.
  • Opportunities to contribute to liquidity planning and treasury risk management.
  • Access to modern financial analysis and reporting tools.
  • Professional development support and opportunities to pursue relevant qualifications.
  • Collaboration with finance leadership and cross-functional business teams.
  • A learning-focused environment that values analytical rigour and continuous improvement.
  • Paid annual leave and benefits in accordance with company policy and applicable employment requirements.
