We are looking for a versatile Full-Stack Fintech Engineer to develop sophisticated financial applications combining intuitive user experiences with robust backend infrastructure.

The successful candidate will work across frontend and backend layers, transforming product requirements into secure, performant applications while collaborating closely with designers, product specialists, data teams, and platform engineers.

What You Will Build

You will contribute to digital financial products involving customer accounts, payment experiences, transaction management, financial dashboards, onboarding workflows, notifications, reporting, and external financial integrations.

The role is particularly suited to an engineer who enjoys moving between application layers rather than being restricted to a single technical domain.

Responsibilities

• Develop responsive and production-ready fintech applications.
• Build reusable frontend components and reliable backend services.
• Design and consume secure REST and event-driven APIs.
• Implement customer onboarding, authentication, account, payment, and transaction workflows.
• Integrate external financial-service providers and technology platforms.
• Develop dashboards and interfaces for financial information and operational workflows.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Optimise application performance and responsiveness.
• Work with designers to translate product concepts into polished interfaces.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and service architecture.
• Identify technical debt and implement sustainable engineering improvements.
• Participate in architecture discussions and peer code reviews.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to incident resolution.
• Maintain high standards for security, accessibility, maintainability, and code quality.

What You Bring

• 4+ years of professional software-engineering experience.
• Strong frontend and backend development capabilities.
• Experience delivering production applications rather than prototypes alone.
• Understanding of secure application development.
• Familiarity with financial services, payments, banking, or another data-sensitive industry.
• Strong API and database knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and product teams.
• Strong ownership mentality and attention to engineering quality.
