A growing technology-driven financial services organization in Estonia is seeking a Fintech Financial Controller to strengthen financial reporting, controls, reconciliations, and management information across a modern fintech environment.

This position combines traditional financial-control responsibilities with the complexity of digital transactions, multiple payment channels, automated financial processes, and technology-enabled operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
• Maintain robust accounting and financial-control procedures.
• Review financial transactions and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Oversee reconciliations across bank accounts, payment providers, platforms, and internal ledgers.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution.
• Prepare management reporting and financial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Develop controls around revenue, expenses, cash movements, and financial data.
• Work with finance and technology teams to automate manual accounting processes.
• Support audits and provide accurate financial documentation.
• Monitor control weaknesses and implement corrective measures.
• Improve reporting processes as the organization expands into new products and markets.

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years of experience in financial control, accounting, audit, banking, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience with reconciliations and complex transaction environments.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
• Advanced Excel and financial-systems knowledge.
• Experience working with ERP, accounting, payment, or financial-data platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail and control discipline.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.

Fintech Advantage

Experience with digital payments, electronic money, payment-service providers, multi-currency operations, automated ledgers, or transaction reconciliation will be particularly valuable.
