We are looking for a Lead Fintech Data & Decisioning Engineer to build advanced backend platforms that transform real-time financial data into automated decisions for risk, payments, customer operations, and financial products.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect backend decisioning platforms that process transaction, customer, behavioral, and financial data in real time.
• Develop scalable feature-processing services for risk scoring, fraud prevention, credit decisions, and transaction optimization.
• Build high-throughput data pipelines connecting payment systems, banking platforms, analytical services, and external data providers.
• Integrate machine-learning models into production-grade decisioning APIs and real-time services.
• Engineer rules engines supporting complex financial decisions and configurable business policies.
• Design data-storage architectures optimized for both high-speed operational decisions and historical analysis.
• Establish mechanisms for model versioning, decision traceability, auditability, and performance monitoring.
• Optimize system latency and reliability for customer-facing financial decisions.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor backend and data engineers.
• Collaborate with product, risk, compliance, data science, and cybersecurity teams to deliver production-ready financial technology.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in backend engineering, fintech, financial data platforms, or decisioning systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, or comparable technologies.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems, event streaming, APIs, databases, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience integrating machine-learning or quantitative models into production applications.
• Strong understanding of financial data, transaction processing, risk technology, and data governance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering initiatives from architecture through production.
