Position Overview

A technology-driven fintech operation is seeking a Fintech Engineer to design, develop, and maintain reliable software infrastructure supporting modern financial products and digital transaction services. The position offers an opportunity to work on scalable systems where software engineering directly contributes to payment reliability, financial-data processing, automation, and customer-facing financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable software components for fintech applications.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations with financial systems.
• Develop systems capable of processing high-volume financial and transactional data.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, analysts, security specialists, and operations teams.
• Implement automated testing and contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Investigate production issues and implement robust technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical design reviews.
• Apply secure software-development principles throughout the development lifecycle.
• Integrate external financial services, payment APIs, identity services, and data platforms.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the engineering environment.

Candidate Profile

• Strong software-development and systems-engineering capabilities.
• Structured approach to debugging and technical problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and API-driven systems.
• High attention to code quality, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software-engineering experience.
• Strong experience with at least one backend language such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or C#.
• Practical knowledge of REST APIs, databases, cloud platforms, version control, and automated testing.
• Experience with financial systems, payments, banking technology, or high-volume transactional platforms is an advantage.
