Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Manager to oversee merchant-payment operations and growth initiatives across acquiring, point-of-sale payments, payment gateways, e-commerce transactions, and merchant financial services.

The successful candidate will combine commercial leadership with operational expertise to improve merchant acquisition, transaction performance, payment acceptance, and overall portfolio profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for merchant acquisition, retention, and transaction growth.
• Manage operational performance across merchant-payment channels.
• Monitor transaction volumes, approval rates, chargebacks, settlement activity, and merchant performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve payment acceptance and reduce transaction failures.
• Coordinate relationships with merchants, payment processors, financial institutions, and technology partners.
• Analyze merchant profitability and develop strategies for portfolio optimization.
• Lead initiatives involving POS, e-commerce, QR, mobile, and other digital-payment channels.
• Establish performance dashboards and operational KPIs.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on payment-platform enhancements.
• Investigate merchant escalations and recurring payment-processing issues.
• Develop commercial proposals and growth initiatives for strategic merchants.
• Coach operational and commercial team members and establish performance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in payments, acquiring, fintech, banking, or merchant services.
• Strong knowledge of payment-processing ecosystems and merchant operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams, portfolios, or commercial initiatives.
• Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of transaction economics and payment-performance metrics.
