Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Environmental Specialist to support environmental management, sustainability initiatives, regulatory compliance, and responsible business practices within a professional organization. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of environmental strategies designed to improve operational sustainability and reduce environmental impact.

This position requires an individual who can combine technical understanding with practical problem-solving and strong organizational skills. The Environmental Specialist will work with different departments to monitor environmental performance, identify potential risks, maintain documentation, and support initiatives that promote efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of environmental management strategies.
• Monitor organizational activities to identify environmental risks and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with sustainability reporting and environmental performance measurement.
• Maintain accurate environmental records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct research into environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Support waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource management initiatives.
• Participate in environmental audits, inspections, and internal assessments.
• Work with operational teams to improve environmentally responsible practices.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for management and relevant stakeholders.
• Support awareness programmes and training related to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Experience in environmental management, sustainability, compliance, or operational improvement is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
• Knowledge of environmental management principles and sustainability practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Knowledge of Estonian environmental regulations is considered an advantage.
