Position Overview

The Strategist will develop financial-technology strategies focused on expanding digital financial services for small and medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, merchants, and digitally enabled businesses.

The role combines SME finance, digital payments, embedded finance, financial inclusion, business banking, merchant technology, and fintech product strategy. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to make financial services more accessible, efficient, and technologically integrated.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for digital financial services serving SMEs and entrepreneurs.
• Identify opportunities across business banking, payments, lending, expense management, and merchant services.
• Analyze barriers affecting SME access to efficient digital financial products.
• Evaluate embedded-finance opportunities within commerce and technology platforms.
• Develop strategies for digital merchant-payment ecosystems.
• Analyze transaction and business data to identify opportunities for financial-product personalization.
• Evaluate fintech solutions supporting invoicing, accounting, cash-flow management, and business payments.
• Develop partnerships with technology platforms, payment providers, banks, and business-service ecosystems.
• Conduct market research across Estonia and European fintech markets.
• Assess emerging technologies that can improve SME financial services.
• Develop commercial models and business cases for new fintech initiatives.
• Work with product, engineering, data, compliance, risk, and commercial teams.
• Establish strategic KPIs covering adoption, transaction activity, revenue, customer retention, and financial outcomes.
• Prepare market assessments, strategic roadmaps, investment cases, and executive recommendations.

Candidate Profile
