Description
About the role
As Senior Central Accountant, you’ll own a portfolio of technically complex, cross-border accounting processes at the heart of our group finance function.
Your remit spans IFRS 16 lease accounting, operational Partner Accounting for our Franchise Partners, and central group transactions — working closely with HQ and subsidiary accountants across multiple jurisdictions.
A strong IFRS foundation, multi-workstream discipline, and comfort in complex entity structures are essential.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the end-to-end IFRS 16 lease accounting process, including audit documentation, data upload reviews, internal controls, and quarter-end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Own the operational Partner Accounting process — maintaining balancing files, preparing and issuing invoices, calculating monthly provisions, performing netting, and managing outstanding balances for each Franchise Partner.
- Communicate directly with Franchise Partners on accounting matters and provide VAT reports for Hungary and Austria, supporting the Partner Markets Controller as needed.
- Lead month-end close activities, including period open, central accrual uploads (e.g. Brightflag, IC interests), and running Account Certification Sets across the entire group.
- Manage intercompany balances across loans, cash pool, interest, trade, and admin — tracking maturity dates, capitalising balances over 1 year, and booking IC loan interest; hold technical ownership of the Transfer Pricing template.
- Work closely with HQ and subsidiary accountants, contribute to process development and automation projects, and perform other duties as delegated.
About you
- You hold a university degree (BA or MA) in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- You have demonstrated experience in statutory reporting, audit, or accounting, with direct exposure to multi-jurisdictional local GAAP financial statement preparation.
- You have experience working in or with large multinational groups with complex entity structures.
- You have a solid knowledge of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 16, and are comfortable applying them in a fast-moving environment.
- You are proficient in ERP systems (Workday experience is an advantage) and can manage multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines without losing attention to detail.
- You communicate fluently in English (C1 or above); additional languages are a plus.

- Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
- Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as we succeeds, so do you.
- Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
- Celebrate 5 years with a 1-month paid sabbatical to recharge.
