Description
About the role
We’re looking for a Head of Performance to build and evolve the systems that ensure our talent is aligned to the company’s highest-value opportunities. In this role, you’ll shape how performance is defined, measured, and used across the organisation, ensuring talent decisions drive meaningful business outcomes rather than administrative processes. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll create the frameworks, insights, and practices that help Bolt identify top talent, raise organisational performance, and support sustainable growth.
Reporting to the VP of People, you’ll sit at the intersection of organisational strategy, commercial execution, and people analytics. This is a highly visible role with significant influence across the business, partnering with leaders to ensure performance management becomes a competitive advantage for Bolt.
Success in this role means building a performance ecosystem that enables better decision-making at every level of the organisation—from goal setting and calibration to workforce planning, promotions, and talent investment. If you’re excited by solving complex organisational challenges, influencing senior stakeholders, and designing systems that create measurable business impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Evaluate and redesign our performance framework to ensure it supports business priorities, growth, and talent strategy.
- Build and lead calibration processes that create meaningful performance differentiation and support fair, high-quality talent decisions across the organisation.
- Develop methodologies that connect company strategy to individual goals, ensuring performance expectations are measurable, ambitious, and commercially relevant.
- Build performance analytics and insights that inform workforce planning, organisational design, compensation, promotion, and retention decisions.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive adoption of a performance-oriented culture and provide strategic guidance on the organisational implications of performance decisions.
- Improve manager effectiveness by defining performance management standards and implementing mechanisms that drive behavioural change and accountability.
About you
- You have experience in management consulting within a leading consulting firm environment, combined with experience in a high-growth technology or consumer-focused business.
- You can diagnose complex organisational challenges, develop data-driven solutions, and drive adoption across senior stakeholder groups.
- You bring strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to assess the business impact of talent and organisational decisions.
- You have a proven track record of influencing senior leaders through analytical rigour, strategic thinking, and credible recommendations.
- You have experience designing or improving organisational effectiveness, talent strategy, workforce productivity, operating models, or performance management frameworks.
- You thrive in ambiguous environments and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
