How You Will Make an Impact:
- Act as Control Expert for Compliance independent assurance activities, including leading/performing targeted or ad-hoc assurance activities and assurance planning activities in the assigned areas
- Design, develop and maintain Independent Assurance framework and methodology
- Proactively identify and propose improvement areas and solutions for assurance process, framework and methodology
- Provide guidance to Assurance department employees on the assurance processes and ensure quality of the documentation associated with assurance activities
- Contribute to ensuring quality of the Compliance activities so they meet external and internal regulatory requirements, are complete, accurate, timely and communicated to the right audience
- Keep up to date knowledge about regulatory requirements and best market practices, prioritising high compliance risk areas and supervisory priorities considering business model of Luminor Group
- Within the objectives of the Assurance department contribute to the Compliance Risk Assessment and Compliance reporting
- Develop subject matter expertise and keep active relation with industry compliance officers’ network
- Follow-up on issued gaps, remediation actions
- Timely and proactively escalate risks associated to timely and qualitative implementation of remediation actions
- Contribute to effectively plan and prioritize assurance activities, including ad hoc activities, in their respective areas of expertise
- Demonstrate excellence in stakeholder management and guide other employees of Assurance department
- Propose changes to Independent Assurance framework based on the Quality Assurance activities performed
- Contribute to internal and external reporting within Assurance department’s areas of responsibilties
- Perform ad-hoc internal reporting
- Participate and contribute to the projects related to the covered Assurance department’s tasks
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Higher education in Internal Audit, Law, Economics, Business Management, Finance, or related field
- Experience of at least 7 years in compliance assurance activities
- Extensive knowledge and experience of best practices in managing Compliance risks associated with the bank business model
- Analytical, critical thinking and ability to propose justified decisions
- Very good understanding of banking products, processes, and IT systems
- Expertise in working with regulatory aspects and business processes, expert knowledge of European and Baltic regulations
- Preferred certifications in Internal Audit, Sanctions and/or AML area
- Ability to act independently and proactively on new or special assignments
- Strong people, project coordination skills and exceptional ability to manage stakeholders
- Quick learning, thoroughness, and accountability
- Impeccable reputation, high integrity and ethical standards
- High degree of stress tolerance with high level of motivation and perseverance
- Bachelor’s in Internal Audit, Law, Economics, Business Management, Finance or similar field
- Certification in Internal Audit Preferred or Sanctions/AML considered as advantage
- Fluent English and Estonian is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
