ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a proactive and analytically strong Treasury Analyst to join our Asset & Liability Management Unit. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work at the heart of balance sheet management, support key regulatory processes, and contribute to strategic decisions impacting the bank’s risk profile, funding structure, and long-term stability. In this particular role, you will also take ownership of Treasury’s NonMaturing Deposits (NMD) modelling, requiring strong modelling capabilities and handson experience with R.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Contribute to development and deployment of the best practices to ensure effective management of balance sheet, liquidity and interest rate risks
- Own and maintain NonMaturing Deposits (NMD) model, stay up to date with relevant regulations and market developments having an impact on it
- Participate in various regulatory and business development projects: support with alignment, documentation and implementation of changes and interpretation of regulatory requirements to the business
- Drive and develop optimizing the capitalization and funding structure of Luminor, process the full Luminor Balance Sheet, calculate and project key financial and regulatory ratios
- Take part in annual ICAAP and ILAAP processes and other ad-hoc regulatory deliveries
- Support in setting up and improving Treasury owned tools, processes and documentation
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Proficiency in R is required; knowledge of Python or SQL is an advantage
- Good knowledge of the Bank products and processes
- Good understanding of financial markets and financial instruments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or another quantitative field
- Ability to learn, flexibility and Innovative mindset
- Thoroughness, accuracy and accountability
- Analytical thinking and ability to make decisions quickly and independently
- Time planning and Cooperation skills
- Fluent English and local language are required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
