About the role
The AI Analytics workgroup is on a mission to transform conversational analytics from a proof of concept into a robust, enterprise scale capability that powers data driven decision making. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will help shape the future of AI in analytics by building a scalable, trusted, and secure solution that goes far beyond experimentation. In 2025, the team laid the foundation by delivering the first working iteration of AI assisted analytics and aligning data modeling around a single source of truth called curated data. This foundation now supports all AI agents and enables high impact self serve analytics for both business users and developers.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
-
Establish standards and best practices for creating trusted curated data for AI agents, ensuring high-quality source of truth coverage.
-
Lead the development and guide the maintenance of general-purpose domain data agents for various domains (Rides, Delivery, Customer Support) to boost self-service adoption.
-
Own the discovery and implementation of AI agent validation tools and benchmark tests to ensure the accuracy and auditable nature of AI-generated output.
-
Partner with Data Platform to integrate curated data into Databricks Genie’s knowledge store and define how Looker, Databricks and other AI agents will co-exist.
-
Establish AI-assisted patterns and integrations, to improve the developer experience in the data teams.
-
Proactively mentor the organisation in using and scaling the use of AI Analytics.
About you:
-
You have significant experience with data modeling and developing analytics architectures, especially for consumption by AI systems over large volumes of data.
-
You are proficient in SQL, Python, data modelling tools such as dbt, and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, and have exposure to Looker and Databricks.

-
You hold a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management, or similar studies.
Experience is great, but we also look for drive, intelligence, and integrity. So, even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you’re the kind of person described above!
