Position Overview

The Strategist will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives across Estonia’s rapidly evolving fintech and digital-payments ecosystem. The role combines financial-services strategy, payment innovation, open-banking infrastructure, digital products, and commercial development.

The successful candidate will assess market opportunities, analyze payment trends, evaluate emerging financial technologies, and establish strategic frameworks for scalable fintech products serving consumers, businesses, merchants, and financial institutions across Estonia and the wider European market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic roadmaps for digital payments, banking technology, and fintech platforms.
• Analyze developments in payment infrastructure, instant payments, digital wallets, merchant acquiring, and account-to-account transactions.
• Evaluate open-banking opportunities and API-based financial services.
• Identify new commercial opportunities across Estonia’s fintech ecosystem.
• Develop business cases for new financial products, payment solutions, and technology partnerships.
• Work closely with product, engineering, compliance, cybersecurity, data, and commercial teams.
• Analyze customer behavior, transaction trends, competitive positioning, and market opportunities.
• Establish performance indicators for fintech products and payment services.
• Support integration strategies involving banks, payment institutions, technology providers, and financial platforms.
• Monitor European fintech developments and assess their potential impact on business strategy.
• Develop executive-level presentations, strategic analyses, market assessments, and investment recommendations.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives involving financial infrastructure and customer-facing platforms.
