Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Security Specialist to strengthen the protection of financial platforms, customer information, transaction systems, cloud environments, and critical technology infrastructure.

The successful candidate will contribute to security engineering, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess security risks across fintech applications and infrastructure.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
• Analyse security events and investigate potential incidents.
• Support security monitoring and threat-detection capabilities.
• Review application, cloud, network, and infrastructure security controls.
• Establish and maintain security standards and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into the software-development lifecycle.
• Support identity and access-management controls.
• Evaluate third-party technology and security risks.
• Assist with penetration-testing programmes and remediation tracking.
• Develop security metrics and management reporting.
• Participate in incident-response exercises and post-incident reviews.
• Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats relevant to financial technology.
• Recommend improvements to security architecture, controls, and operational processes.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• Experience within fintech, banking, payments, or other technology-intensive environments is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of network, application, cloud, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with vulnerability management and security monitoring.
• Understanding of identity management, encryption, access controls, and secure development practices.
• Strong analytical and investigative capabilities.
• Relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
