Cloud Engineer – Financial Technology & Enterprise Systems

A technology-focused organisation in Estonia is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to help design, maintain, automate, and optimise modern cloud infrastructure supporting critical business applications and digital services.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and wants to work on systems where reliability, security, scalability, and performance are essential.

You will collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps professionals, cybersecurity specialists, data teams, and technology leadership. Your work may support cloud migration, application modernisation, automated deployment, digital financial platforms, enterprise applications, data services, or high-availability business systems.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Support cloud migration and infrastructure-modernisation projects.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support reliable software delivery.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilisation.
• Implement infrastructure security and access-management practices.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability.
• Support backup, disaster-recovery, and business-continuity requirements.
• Optimise cloud resources and help improve infrastructure efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation and infrastructure standards.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.

Technical Profile

Candidates should have practical experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, together with familiarity with infrastructure automation, containers, networking, Linux, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.

Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Git, security engineering, or distributed systems would be highly advantageous.

Experience within fintech, banking, software engineering, telecommunications, e-commerce, SaaS, or other technology-intensive industries is welcome.
