Description
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to employees and first-level managers in support of KC-46A program execution, including development, production, sustainment, and fleet issue resolution.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Lead the team through program planning and project management of major development and sustainment efforts in accordance with organizational processes and procedures.
- Guide resolution of complex technical issues through sound engineering judgment, disciplined problem solving, and effective risk mitigation.
- Build, develop, and mentor the engineering team through coaching, talent development, and workforce planning.
- Ensure engineering activities and deliverables meet safety, quality, regulatory, and certification requirements.
- Communicate technical status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans to program leadership, customers, and other key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, technical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration in support of the Airplane Systems Capability to improve program outcomes.
